The Portola Sierra Valley Business Alliance is an organization that has been created to promote economic development and business in the Portola Sierra Valley area. Businesses work together to promote themselves through strategy and online advertising to spur visitation to our area and for people to find the local resources they need.
We provide an collaborative business environment that plans activities to grow commerce in our area and our objectives are as follows:

- Promoting the Community.
- Lobbying for business interests.
- Offering networking opportunities.
- Providing business with resources and education opportunities.
- Seek business stabilization, expansion , and relocation.
- Cooperate with business and civic leaders to create a climate where business can operate in a productive and profitable manner.
- Serve as a catalyst in transforming the region into a center for commerce, learning, culture and recreation.
- A regional land use and economic development advocate.
- Maintain a central communication center for member, sponsors, and tourism.
- Work with regional organizations in promoting tourism as a component of economic vitality.
- Promote community historic cultural diversities transforming the region into a hub of activity and growth.

- Sponsor Portola and Loyalton Downtown Association.
- Sponsor Art & Craft Guild.
- Sponsor Member to Member Discount Program.
- Sponsor education and business training seminars and workshops.
